WholeHearted Grain-Free dog food is a brand I am just starting to familiarize myself with. I am also very wary of brands that claim it alone can give dogs all of their dietary needs. However, after looking for more into this food and brand as a whole, I’m starting to think they may be onto something.

For this WholeHearted Grain-Free dog food review, I will be focusing on the Grain-Free Chicken & Pea formula.

Pea Flour

This is an ingredient that is derived from milled roasted peas. It is typically used in grain-free diets to help boost the protein content on the label and to be used as a source of carbohydrates. However, it is mostly seen as a cheap filler.

Chickpeas

This is an ingredient that contains dietary fiber, plant-based protein, Sodium, Potassium, Vitamin A, and Vitamin B complex. However, due to the FDA’s latest finding on chickpeas and dog food here, I have flagged this ingredient.

Peas
