Pros

  • Quality ingredients used
  • Affordable
  • Convenient buying options
  • Positive reviews by pet owners

Cons

  • Too many pea ingredients
  • A few controversial ingredients

I’ll be honest with you: I am not very hopeful about Nutro Ultra dog food.

When I heard the creators of Nutro dog food were going to make a grain-free formula of their own to latch onto the grain-free pet food trend, I was hesitant to even give them a second thought. Nutro dog food is known to be made with some of the most horrible ingredients, so why would Nutro Ultra be the same.

However, what I found out was VERY surprising!

For this review, I will be focusing on The Harvest Plate Grain-Free Adult formula.

Nutro Ultra Dog Food Reviews by Pet Owners

Just as surprising as the ingredients in this food are, the reviews by pet owners are even more surprising. Most pet owners rave about this food! Take a look below at what some pet parents have been saying about this brand.

I think we found the one brand our dog will eat. We have been feeding this food to our dog since 2018 and he really enjoys it. He is notoriously picky and will turn his nose up at any food, except this one. We are not switching anytime soon. -Darwin Dang

This is one of the best commercial dog food brands I have been able to find so far. It is so good in fact, my cat even likes it! My fur baby is happy with this food and has the most beautiful shiny coat I have ever seen. -CBL

A really good dog food. My dog suffers from pretty bad allergies and she even has a very sensitive stomach. But she is thriving on this food! No allergy flare-ups and her stomach has reacted well to this food. -J. Crooks

Great product from an even greater company! I order this food all of the time. The ingredients seem to speak for themselves. -Yvette Coomey

My dog loves this food! I have been feeding this brand to my dog for the past year and a half now. She won’t touch anything else! -Sierra

Grain-Free and absolutely delicious, well, according to my dog anyway. My dog loves the taste of this food and while it may be a bit more expensive than what I am used to pay, if she likes it, I have no problem spending the extra money on it. -Amazon customer

Nutro Ultra Dog Food: The Bottomline

I have to admit, Nutro Ultra dog food really surprised me. I thought I was going to come across a food similar to other Nutro brands, but no. What I found was a decent dog food with quality ingredients, a decent price and even great customer reviews from pet owners. It’s nice to see a formula from a brand synonymous with low quality pet foods. It is one of those brands I don’t have a problem recommending, especially to new pet owners.
