For today’s Fromm dog review, I needed to delve and explore a dog food I had never heard about before. While I was working at a small town pet supply store, I heard of Fromm dog food from a person who was looking to buy the food, but my store didn’t have the food in stock. It wasn’t until years later when I started this very blog that I decided to take a closer look at the food.
Fromm pet food is a company that is proudly family owned. In their fifth generation of family ownership, the values of this company has not changed much. Dedicated to the health and nutrition of animals, they have stuck to the same recipe for most of their pet foods, but have just expanded their brands and formula over time.
So, is this line of dog food from Fromm as healthy as the company claims it to be? Let’s jump into my honest Fromm dog food review and find out.
For this review, I will be focusing on the Fromm Adult Gold brand of food.

2. Chicken Meal
Chicken meal is a high-quality protein source that contains as much as 300% more protein than chicken contains alone.
Chicken is a high-quality protein source added into this food. Keep in mind that during the cooking process, the amount of protein is reduced by at least half since the chicken shrinks as it cooks.

Brown Rice is a source of carbohydrates that is considered to be healthier than white rice. It contains essential amino acids that helps to boost your dog’s energy level.

This is a higher quality of fat used and that can be found in many holistic brands of dog and cat food. It is a source of Vitamin E and Omega 6 fatty acids, helping to entice dogs to eat it with a natural flavor as well as help to promote healthy skin and a shiny coat.

11. Dried Tomato Pomace

This is an ingredient that is used primarily to enhance a dog’s skin and coat by making them shinier. This ingredient is packed with natural Omega 3 and 6 fatty acids.
This is an ingredient that I am not a huge fan of, especially if it is found in a dog food. Cheese can be particularly high in fat and can pose a problem especially if a dog is lactose intolerant. However, cheese is an exceptional source of calcium and phosphorus which can help maintain optimal bone and teeth health.

16. Brewers Dried Yeast
This is a controversial ingredient used in many holistic pet foods today. On one side of the fence, you have people who claim this is an ingredient that can help to prevent fleas naturally, while you have other people that claim this is an ingredient that is toxic on a dog’s liver.
17. Alfalfa Meal
